What will we practice in class?

    #1: Balance

    We’ll help you train your body and brain to improve balance - giving you more confidence on your feet. This is useful whether you’re navigating uneven sidewalks or chasing your grandkids!

    #2: Strength

    We’ll teach you to strategically and safely use gym weights to build strength in arms, legs, and core. Strength makes life feel easier - from getting out of bed to ascending stairs to carrying your barang.

    #3: Mobility

    We’ll teach you self-massage and stretching techniques to use in class and at home. These tools help improve your body awareness, reduce pain, and get you moving with more ease.

We’re Movement Labs - an inclusive, creative team of experienced movement professionals.

We offer strength training and yoga in 1:1 and small group classes.

We prioritise safety, consent, and education.

We specialize in working with folks who are new to exercise, rehabbing injuries, and managing chronic conditions.


ACTIVE AGING is our strength class for older adults

Who? You, and a maximum of 5 other participants

When? Every Tuesday @ 10:15 AM (except PH)

Where? The Movement Labs Studio (200 Upper Thomson Rd)

How? Standing or seated (wheelchairs welcome*) if you prefer.

*We have ramp access to the shopfronts and into the studio. Contact us with questions!

  • Stop by the studio to see parking, transportation options, and accessibility

  • Meet the class instructor (Jen) and studio owner (Holly)

  • Register ($10, in advance) for a 1:1 Mini Session with Jen:
    (1) She will evaluate your movement patterns and history;
    (2) Advise whether you’re a good candidate for Active Aging class; and
    (3) Send you home with a customised stretch or release to help you feel better NOW
    *Mini Session fee will be credited toward any class/package purchased on that day
